«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 206 of 206To a question above, I dug out following from internet: "Starting next January, the institute will offer a joining bonus of Rs 15,000 per month for the first three years to young faculty members. For encouraging research, it has been offering a one time grant of Rs 25 lakh to fresh joinees along with a faculty fellowship of Rs 15,000 per month for three years for the best faculty on campus. And all this in addition to their salaries." A question for Ankur Kulkarni:
How much time did IITB take to inform you after the interview?
Many thanks.

I have had two interviews with IITB and have offers from both departments.
In the first case I got an informal confirmation over email within a few hours of the interview. The actual letter was sent to me in scanned form after about 15 days and I received the hard copy by post after about 20 days.
In the second case, I wasn't sent an informal confirmation; but they confirmed that I am being made an offer after I asked the very next day. This happened over the last week itself; I am still awaiting the formal letter etc.
Dear Ankur,
Congratulations and many thanks!
